About Me
My passion for work in communications and marketing began in college when I served as editor and designer of a campus newsletter. That project sparked my lifelong interest in how we communicate with each other visually about everything from business endeavors to educational missions to nonprofit fundraising.
I enjoy exploring how graphic design and communication can inspire a mission for organizations. A deep connection to furthering mission has always contributed to my creative work. My professional experiences have been focused on communication strategy and implementation. I've managed the development and production of annual reports, newsletters, brochures and other print collateral. I designed marketing and fundraising materials, and created an array of digital and electronic communications (e-newsletters, media blasts, social media integration, and digital media branding). Before entering the nonprofit world, I studied at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor and Muhlenberg College in Pennsylvania. I currently live in the Green Mountains of Vermont with my husband and sons and a menagerie of rescue hounds, rabbits, and poultry. When I'm not at my computer, you can usually find me in my garden or watching a soccer or baseball game. Rebecca Elder |
